Tupac's Aunt Is America’s Most Wanted Woman - Heard about the first woman to be named on the FBIs 'Most Wanted Terrorists' list. Turns out is was Assata Shakur, aunt to the late great Tupac Shakur. She was a member of the Black Liberation Army in 1979 when she escaped from a US prison where she was serving time for the murder of a New Jersey police officer. There is currently a $2 million reward for information leading to her arrest. They not gonna get her. She is being protected in Cuba. The FBI claims that she advocates "revolution and terrorism".
One Of The Three Friends Of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Set To Be Freed - 1 of the three friends arrested for interfering with the arrest of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Robel Phillipos, has been released to house arrest until the trail starts. The 19 year old will have to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet and can only leave home to meet with lawyer or in the event of an emergency. The young man was released after his uncle was able to post the $100,000 after putting up his house as collateral.
Early Humans Loved To Eat Brains - Some animal bones that were dug up in Kenya show evidence that evolutionary ancestors of humans dug into the heads of antelopes and other wild animals in order to eat their brains. There were a significant amount of animal heads found in the area suggesting that early humans would go and get the heads of animal carcasses that had been left behind by other predators. Scientists believes that the nutrient rich brain matter may have helped humans to develop larger bodies, bigger brains and travel longer distances.
Teen Mom Farrah Crushes Kim K - According to porn sources Farrah's 70-minute prom debut, "Backdoor Teen Mom," lured in more than 2 million visitors in just 12 hours Monday. It crushed the record previously held by Kim K and Ray J, which attracted 600,000 during the same time. They say Farrah crashed the site.
Three Women Missing For A Decade Found Alive - Three women who went missing separately about a decade ago when they were in their teens or early 20s were found alive yesterday in Cleveland and three men were arrested. A neighbor said he heard screams and ran to the house where he found one of the women and lent her his cell phone to call 911. They were both found just a few miles from where they had gone missing.
Christie Gets Surgery - The Governor of NJ Chris Christie has revealed he got lap band surgery to lose weight. He said he did it for his wife and kids and his health.
Super Gonorrhea Bug Found In Hawaii - Scientists believe that an antibiotic-resistant strain of gonorrhea found in Hawaii may be worse than AIDS. The bacteria is said to be more aggressive and will affect people more rapidly. Its believed that contracting the strain could kill them within a matter of days. The 'superbug' has been declared an emergency situation. Luckily no deaths have been reported ass of yet.
YouTube To Start Charging - YouTube is reportedly going to start charging as soon as this week. The video site says when the change takes effect as many as 50 YouTube channels may be subscription only, and could cost $1.99 or more for an individual one-month channel subscription.
Lauryn Hill Gets Jail Time - Lauryn Hill has been sentenced to 3 months in federal prison for failing to pay her taxes on $2 million in earnings. The Newark, NJ judge additionally sentenced Hill to three months of house arrest after she is released from prison and a $60,000 fine. In her courtroom statement she said that she was always going to pay the overdue taxes but was short on money when she put her music career on hold. Despite the fact that she had paid more than $970,000 in tax liabilities she still received the jail and house arrest sentence.
Billions Of Cicadas Set To Overrun The East - The countdown is on for the re-emergence of billions of cicadas! Any day now the bugs will blanket the east coast from North Carolina to Connecticut. They are completely harmless and other than being loud and a constantly mating, they don't do anything. This species of cicada has been underground since 1996 and will reemerge when the ground temperature reaches 64 degrees. They make an appearance every 17 years to mate for a few weeks, die and their offspring head back underground.
Rats In Center City - The Green Eggs Cafe in Center City in Philly will remain closed indefinitely after several social media postings showed rats inside the establishment. Management says a break in the sewage main gave the rats access to the restaurant. The online videos showed the rats eating pizza that had been left out. Customers have said that they will not be returning to the restaurant and the health department will require an inspection before the restaurant will re-open to the public.
