"The Power Squad", Power 99's Dance Team
A dance team for girls in high school and college (juniors and seniors) that love the art of hip-hop dance and are academically achieving a 2.3 GPA or higher. The dance team will perform at Power 99 events. If this is you or someone you know, come audition for the Power Squad and bring your latest report card.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar is still hoping that Janet Jackson will come around to make an appearance in his video for Poetic Justice. The rapper paid homage to Jackson with a sample of her song Anytime, Anyplace, and paid homage to 1994 movie Poetic Justice starring Jackson and the late Tupac Shakur. Lamar pitched the idea of having Jackson in the video back in December stating it'll only be right. The song also features rapper Drake.
