Ja Rule was released on February 21st but is still in custody. TMZ reported that rapper was serving a 2 year sentence on gun charges and was serving his time at the Mid-State Correctional Facility In New York since June of 2011. But the rapper has to serve a 28 month sentence for a federal tax envasion. Although Ja Rule could be sent to a federal prison his lawyer says that he could qualify for a halfway house and could possibly have less than six months left on his sentence.
