Ariel Castro has been charged with four counts of kidnapping and three counts of rape for allegedly holding three women captive in his Cleveland home for a decade.

Amanda Berry and her six-year-old daughter, and Gina DeJesus have been able to go home, but Michelle Knight remains in a local hospital today (Wednesday) in good condition. Felix DeJesus, Gina's father, said, "I knew my daughter was out there alive. I knew she needed me, and I never gave up -- never gave up searching for her."

Ropes and chains were found in Castro's home, officials say. Police chief Michael McGrath told NBC's Today, "We have confirmation that they were bound."

The Cleveland district attorney says that Ariel Castro's brothers Pedro and Onil will not be charged, despite their arrests. McGrath says there is no evidence they had any idea that Ariel had the three women captive.

In a late development, police sources have revealed that Amanda Berry's daughter was delivered in the house by Michelle Knight. The infant reportedly stopped breathing shortly after being born, but revived and is now a healthy six-year-old.

We all knew the Cleveland kidnapping story was going to get worse, but this is enough to turn anyone's stomach.

Michelle Knight, one of the three women held captive for a decade by Ariel Knight, told authorities she was pregnant at least five times -- but Castro would punch her and starve her until she miscarried.

Knight also said that Amanda Berry, the mother of the six-year-old girl freed with the three women, was forced to deliver her baby in a plastic swimming pool, with her help. Shortly after the birth, the child stopped breathing -- and Castro threatened to kill Knight if the baby died.

The three women were initially kept chained in Castro's basement. He later gave them separate bedrooms in the house, but would test them to ensure none of them tried to escape. He would pretend to leave the house, only to return suddenly, and would discipline the women if there were signs that they'd moved.

Castro is due in court today (Thursday). He's been charged with three counts of rape and four counts of kidnapping.
