Thank you for your interest in Clear Channel Broadcasting's
Internship Program! Our program is intense and worthwhile. It offers
excellent preparation and experience for anyone serious or seriously
interested in an electronic media career. As you can imagine, the
selection process for such a program is a very detailed one. We
offer an excellent opportunity for those who are accepted to become
an integral part of our company--thus, our screening and selection
process reflects the seriousness of such a position. Our internship
program offers work experience to students currently enrolled in a
degree program. We have attached an application package in one file
for your convenience. This package includes a description sheet and
internship supervisor letter explaining our program to you and the
person in charge of internships at your college/university. It also
details internship requirements, deadlines and the departments
offering an intern experience. You may also download an application
package using the link above.
In addition to a resume and cover letter, you must provide a signed
letter from your college or university indicating that you are
eligible to receive academic credit for an intership if selected.
This is the most critical portion of the application package and we
cannot consider applicants without this.
Please submit all portions of your application package together.
Recommendation letters that arrive separately without your package
will be returned to you.
Prospective interns are encouraged to keep in mind that internships
are a means of securing academic credit for learning, which takes
place in a structured and supervised work environment. Clear Channel
is committed to providing a learning and valuable experience for all
interns; as well as asssisting interns in their quest to acquire all
the experience and information they can from such a prestigious
broadcast company. Therefore, we expect interns to fulfill their
commitment to working hard, learning and making the most of a Clear
Channel experience.
Clear Channel offers a limited number of senior project completions
to highschoolers during the Spring only. There is a cap on the
number of those selected for this program, and applicaitons are
reviewed on a first come, first served basis. Since most senior
highschool projects occur in May, the deadline for highschool
seniors applying to complete their senior project with Clear Channel
is always the last day of March. No exceptions. The process requires
filling out the application package that is attached; along with the
letter of credit from the highschool explaining the senior project
and outlining all requirements and program rules. Please give us at
least 2 weeks following receipt of your application to review it and
schedule an interview. Clear Channel allows 3 senior highschool
projects yearly. Once that number is met, the application process is
closed until the same time the following year.
Deadlines for receipt of internship application packages are as
follows:
Applying for Summer 2007 (May - August, 2007): Package must arrive
no later than June 1st, 2007.
Applying for Fall 2007 (August - December, 2007): Package must
arrive no later than September 14th, 2007.
Applying for Spring 2008 (Period of December 2007 - May 2008):
Package must arrive no later than December 28th, 2007.
Applying for Summer 2008 (May - August, 2008): Package must arrive
no later than June 13th, 2008.
Applying for Fall 2008 (August - Decmeber, 2008): Package must
arrive no later than September 12th, 2008.
