Miss Delaware Steps Down- Melissa King, who was named Miss Delaware Teen USA, has given up her crown after being questioned about sex videos found online. A porn website posted a video that stars a woman who looks and sounds like King. The 18 year old pageant winner denies that the woman in the video is her but her attorney sent in her letter of resignation to the organization. The runner-up could not be reached for comment.
Internet Gambling Passed In NJ- A bill legalizing gambling over the internet was given final approval yesterday and Gov. Christie has confirmed he will sign it. The original bill was vetoed earlier this month but after changes were made including: 10-year trial period for online betting, and raising the taxes on the Atlantic City casinos' online winnings. The point of the bill is to help struggling casinos by bringing in gamblers who don't go to the physical locations. The bill will take effect in another 3 to 9 months.
America’s Best Cities For Pizza- When it comes to America's best Pizza Philly held it down for the tri-state area and made it in the top 10! Unsurprisingly Chicago took the number 1 spot with their deep dish and to some surprise NY came in at number 3. Philadelphia came in at the number 4 spot and Kansas City brought up the rear at number 10.
Father Of 9 year Old Rapper Under Investigation- 9 year old rapper, Lil Poopy, has landed his dad in hot water because of some of his lyrics and music videos. The elementary schooler refers to himself as 'Coke Boy' and his videos show him hanging out with video vixens, flashing expensive cars and referencing the drug trade. A police officer said, "It’s a bit much for a 9-year-old. It warrants the attention of the Department of Children and Families". His father's attorney said, "This is just what I would call a racially tinged investigation because whoever watched it probably doesn’t understand rap. This isn’t some child left alone that’s not going to school. It all comes down to content in the videos, which is protected by the First Amendment."
Instagram Reaches 100 Million Users Milestone- Instagram has finally reached the 100 million user mark! More than 100 million people use the social media app- and now website- every month. While this is still shabby compared to the 1 billion users on Facebook and 200 million Twitter users it's still a milestone because the app is just under 3 years old!
Man Assaults Teen With Burrito- More foolishness in the Florida streets. 36 year old Erik Brown is being charged with simple battery after he "delivered" a burrito to his 16 year old brother in law's face. Clearly jail time didn't scare him because he said that once he's released from prison his brother in law is going to get 'knocked out'. No word on what started the 'beef'. (Get it?)
Christie's Medicaid Plan For Poor Adults- Gov. Christie has officially decided to expand Medicaid coverage under Obama's healtyh care reform laws. In response to his decision he said: After considerable discussion and research, I have decided to participate in Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act. While we already have one of the most expansive and generous Medicaid programs in the nation, including the second highest eligibility rate for children, we have an opportunity to ensure that an even greater number of New Jerseyans who are at or near the poverty line will have access to critical health services beginning in January of 2014." Expanding Medicaid in New Jersey would provide new health care coverage to an estimated 291,000 people through 2022. The health care reform law calls for Medicaid coverage to be available to anyone who earns up to 133 percent of the federal poverty level, which is $15,282 for a single person this year. Most of the new enrollees in states are expected to be adults without children living at home, who were not previously covered by Medicaid.
NJ Tanning Mom Won’t Be Indicted- Patricia Krentcil, the New Jersey mom arrested last year for taking her 5 year old tanning, will not be indicted on child endangerment charges. Krentcil was brough up on the charges after her daughter was discovered to have burns on her legs at school. She said it was an errand she brought the little girl on just like going grocery shopping. The grand jury has decided not to indict her on the charges and she has decided to stay away from the tanning booths.
Eagles Cheerleader Uniform Changing- Designer Vera Wang is going to be giving the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders a new look! Her first deisgn with the team was debuted 10 years ago. The changes are in the very early stages.

PA Man Facing Murder - A 28 year old man in Montgomery County was arrested in the death of his baby daughter. He says he fell on her when he was drunk, put her in her swing and when he woke up the next morning she was limp. The autopsy, however, showed that there was many skull fractions to the child’s head.
