Parents Rub Heroin On Teething Baby’s Gums - An 11 month old baby known as JM died back in 2008 because of heroin intoxication. It has taken the past four years for investigators to determine what really happened. Ocean County, New Jersey prosecutors say that Denise Manco, 35, and Rondell Moore, 37 have pled guilty to second-degree manslaughter for rubbing heroin on the baby's gums because he was teething. Girl Banned From Football Appears on Ellen - An 11 year old Pennsylvania girl has the passion for football but was not allowed to play this season. Caroline Pla has wanted to play since she was three and at the age of 5 told her brother's football coach that she was going to play of him. Caroline played tackle football for the Bucks County CYO for five years before she was reported and banned for "safety reasons". Caroline was selected for the all-star team but couldn't play because of the ban. She started a petition on change.org and has reached out to the media to tell her story!

200 Fools Start Fighting At A Baby Shower - Stoughton, Massachusetts’ police were called to Club Luis De Camoes to break up a crazy number of fights at, of all things, a baby shower. Balloons and pink table-cloths were disrupted when 3 drunk men crashed the party and started the fights. The mother- Maria Depina- was devastated by the behavior of her guests. Her brother was tased and arrested after she said he “flipped a table” when his 6-month-old child got “thrown across the room.” The men arrested were charged with were charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault and battery on an officer.
Wisconsin Elementary School To Host Annual Gun Show - The Indianhead Rifle and Pistol Club will host its annual gun show at Spooner Elementary School. In the wake of the Newtown, CT shootings this seems inappropriate. One member of the club says that hosting the show at the school is simply a matter of "convenience" and that they aren't looking for "shock value". Wisconsin law prohibits guns within 1000 feet of public schools but doesn't make specifications regarding licensed manufacturers and dealers. Concerned citizens are worried that they show will give unauthorized, background check-less people access to weapons.

After the woman's water broke comments were made about why she was at the club.The comments led to an argument between two groups of men that left one unaffiliated man with a gunshot wound to the butt. Study Finds Unsafe Mercury Levels In 84 Percent Of All Fish - A new study has found that 84% of fish have levels of mercury that are deemed unsafe for human consumption. Eating fish is the main way people get mercury poisoning. Tuna and swordfish have the highest levels, which can permanently damage the brain and kidneys. Because a lot of the fish that we eat is imported this is a serious global issue. Mercury levels is on the United Nations agenda this week in Geneva.
Girl abducted from Phila. school was 'targeted' / School Policies questioned - The little girl who was taken from a West Philadelphia school Monday morning is believed to have been targeted. An unidentified woman walked into the school claiming to be Nailla's mother who was taking her to breakfast. After a little questioning from the substitute teacher the Nailla left with the woman who, we now know, was unauthorized to sign her out. Investigators believe that Naila confused the woman for a family member because of her Muslim clothing- she has many Muslim family members. School officials are investigating the incident question protocol because of the fact, "that an adult was able to walk into a school building, able to go to a classroom, and to pick up a child and say the child has been checked out, and then walk out with the child." There is a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the female suspect and her male accomplice.
