Guilty Plea In Baby's Death By Drain Cleaner 36-year-old Aaron Pace of North Philadelphia has pled guilty to third degree murder in a case where a baby was severely burned and ultimately died from drain cleaner. Pace was babysitting his neighbor’s 20 month old son when he began crying in the bathtub. Investigators say that when the child wouldn’t stop crying Pace rubbed the baby down with a cloth that was soaked in Drano- which caused sever burns. Pace waited to take the baby to the hospital where he died 5 days later. He was sentenced to 17.5-35 years in prison.

Delaware Flu Spike Causes Hospital to Expand E.R. Area Christiana Hospital in Delaware has been added to the list of local hospitals that have had to expand their emergency rooms because of the number of flu cases coming in to be treated. There have been about 12 positive flu cases being admitted every day! The ER has overflowed into a nearby conference room. Hospital officials say that its hard to keep track of the number of cases because everyone has not been tested yet. If you think you have the flu and have trouble breathing, are confused, dizzy or lightheaded, or having chest pain doctors suggest you go to the emergency room for treatment. The Community Meets To Talk School Closings Community members made their voice heard at a meeting in North Philadelphia with the School Reform Commission about the plans to close to 40 schools. Teachers, parents and students all met to voice their concerns. The SRC tried to explain to parents that over-crowding, budget-cuts and declining enrollment make it necessary to close the schools but protesters aren’t buying it.

Apparently the man paid the girl’s parents a $17,500 dowry to set the union up! The girl was terrified about the marriage and locked herself in her bedroom on her wedding night before running away to her mom and dad’s house. The groom is threatening to sue if his either his dowry or his new bride is not returned.

He created a blog that points out what he calls ‘holes’ in the Sandy Hook timeline. He says that the situation was blown up to get voters to be more vocal about the issue of gun control.

Dog Mistaken For A Baby Lion An adorable dog in Norfolk, VA had residents concerned- so much so that they called 911. The caller told authorities that there was a baby lion walking down the street! Police called the Virginia Zoo which confirmed that all of the lions were safe in their cages. The ‘lion’ turned out to be poodle-lab mix named Charles.

Fake Bomb Found Ender Jeep In Wynnefield Heights - The Philly bomb squad had to deactivate a fake bound that was found under a car yesterday morning. A man became suspicious when he saw a box of metal and plastic attached to the bottom of his Jeep. A robot removed the alleged bomb and experts determined that it was not hazardous or dangerous.

Infant Dies From The Flu - Officials at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township say the infant died of the flu over the weekend. Yesterday, the hospital opened a mobile emergency room in the parking lot to deal with the flu outbreak.
