Mayor Mack Indicted On Federal Charges- The mayor of New Jersey’s capital city has been indicted by a federal jury on corruption charges. The mayor, his brother and another associate have been charged with extortion, bribery and fraud. The trio is accused of plotting to accept close to $120,000 in exchange for Mayor Mack’s influence in the development of a garage on city land. The investigation began in 2010 and Mack has maintained his innocence the entire time.

Winning Powerball ticket in PA- Pennsylvania officials say that a winning ticket for Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing was sold in Bucks County, PA. The winning ticket is worth $50 million. The ticket was sold at Levittown News and Tobacco on South Oxford Valley Road in Fairless Hills. The winner has not been identified and has a year to claim the prize!

Boy Beat To Death For Not Reading Bible- A 7 year old Las Vegas boy was beaten to death last week by his mother and step father for not reading the bible. The parents appeared in court this past Tuesday and have been charged with murder, child abuse and neglect. The stepfather admitted to beating the boy with a belt, a spatula and a wooden paddle, as well as with his hands. The parent’s allegedly called their pastor before they called 911.

Santa Is A Sex Offender- People in Cleveland, Texas were shocked to find out that a man who was dressed as Santa at a community event was a registered sex offender. Parents were furious when they found out that the Santa who was taking pictures with their children was listed on the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry The man was charged with a sex crime at the age of 12 and served time in a juvenile facility. There are no restrictions that prevent him from being around kids but his name is going to be on the list for 5 more years.

First Medical Marijuana Dispensary  Open in N.J.- Yesterday morning NJ first medical mary-jane dispensary opened its doors for business. The office is located at the Greenleaf Compassion Center-395 Bloomfield Avenue. Don’t get too excited, all of the initial visits are by appointment only. Patients will be limited to purchase a half-ounce of pot at their initial consultation, to make sure that the limited supply will last for all 20 patients. Two security officers man the door to make sure that no one tries anything too crazy.

Truck Carrying i-Pads Crashes- A truck full of iPads and iPods crashed as it was trying to get onto a ramp in Chester, Delaware county this morning. The driver lost control and crashed causing the part of the cab to go over the guard rail. The driver had to be cut out of the truck and is currently in the hosiptal in stable condition. 

8-year-old Girl Shot By 7-Year-old Brother- Police are saying that a 7 year old boy accidentally shot his 8 year old sister while they were playing with a gun. The lock is said to have been dismantled in a lock box but the kids got inside and successfully put the gun together. The little girl was rushed to the hospital where she is currently in stable condition.
