Jamie Foxx has responded to the backlash he received for calling President Obama our "Lord and Savior" at the 2012 Soul Train Awards in Las Vegas. He said at the ceremony, "It's like church in here. First of all, give an honor to God and our lord and savior, Barack Obama."

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jamie said, "I'm a comic [and] sometimes I think people get a little too tight. And, it's getting a little tougher for us comedians [because] some people take it and want to make a huge story out of it, but it's a joke."
