Jennifer Hudson has just announced that she will be staring in the NBC hit show “Smash”. For the TV musical’s second season, Hudson will be featured as a Tony award winning Broadway star named Veronica Moore “who has reached her dreams but has paid a price for it” according to NBC’s Chairman of Entertainment Robert Greenblatt. In addition to appearing on “Smash” with fellow American Idol contestant Katherine McPhee, Hudson is planning her nuptials to fiancé David Otunga, preparing to debut her clothing line on the home shopping network QVC, re-recording the hit “Proud Mary” and has just been named to as a inductee into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.






Rihanna will be adding another acting credit to her resume soon. The “Where Have You Been” singer and “Battleship” actress has just been named as the female lead for Dream Works latest movie “Happy Smekday!” The movie is about friendly aliens who come to earth looking for a hideout from their evil alien counterparts and learn what is like to be human. Rihanna will play a human girl who befriends a nice alien and takes an intergalactic adventure with him in order to avoid the evil aliens. “Happy Smekday!” is set to be released in late 2014

Lauren London has been named the new lead female character for the "The Game" which will begin its six season this fall.
