Not many people had a bigger year in entertainment than Pharrell Williams in 2013. The 40-year-old producer/rapper/singer/songwriter/fashion designer was everywhere this year, from award shows, covering magazines, hits all over the charts, scoring music for movies, and many business ventures outside of music. Pharrell composed the soundtrack to the movie Despicable Me and he has worked with almost nearly everyone in the industry from Miley Cyrus, Frank Ocean, Daft Punk, T.I., Solange Knowles, Mac Miller, Robin Thicke, Kanye West. Pharrell appeared alongside T.I. on Robin Thicke's hit single "Blurred Lines". The song has been a worldwide hit, has peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Pharrell's third Billboard Hot 100 number one single. Plus Pharrell released the first 24-hour music video to his Despicable Me 2 collaboration song, "Happy". With all of these accomplishments in 2013, GQ recognized Pharrell as one of their 5 people selected for the “Man of the Year” cover, which is well deserved.
I hoped this was a rumor when I heard it. After VH1 premiered the TLC movie, which displayed how much of a business woman, TLC's founder, Pebbles was, there were rumors of her suing the group. Actually, there was word Pebbles was going to sue Left-Eye's estate for money that hadn't been paid. Now you know that was foul, considering Left-Eye isn't even with us. But according to Pebbles' website, she wanted to clear a few things, denying that rumor. In her statement, Pebbles pretty much says, "The rumor is circulating that I am currently suing the estate Of the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.THIS IS FALSE." Well there you have it because Pebbles would have been the worst female villain around if that were true!
