Not many people had a bigger year in entertainment than Pharrell Williams in 2013. The 40-year-old producer/rapper/singer/songwriter/fashion designer was everywhere this year, from award shows, covering magazines, hits all over the charts, scoring music for movies, and many business ventures outside of music. Pharrell composed the soundtrack to the movie Despicable Me and he has worked with almost nearly everyone in the industry from Miley Cyrus, Frank Ocean, Daft Punk, T.I., Solange Knowles, Mac Miller, Robin Thicke, Kanye West. Pharrell appeared alongside T.I. on Robin Thicke's hit single "Blurred Lines". The song has been a worldwide hit, has peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Pharrell's third Billboard Hot 100 number one single. Plus Pharrell released the first 24-hour music video to his Despicable Me 2 collaboration song, "Happy". With all of these accomplishments in 2013, GQ recognized Pharrell as one of their 5 people selected for the “Man of the Year” cover, which is well deserved.

Well 24 hours after Powerhouse, Chris Brown went from tearing down the stage in Philly, to sitting behind bars in the nations capital. TMZ has reported that Chris was arrested for FELONY assault after allegedly attacking a man outside a hotel in Washington D.C. Supposedly around 4:30 AM Brown got in an argument outside of his hotel and punched the victim in the face, breaking the man's nose. The victim claims he and his friend were just photo bombing a picture Chris and 2 female fans were taking. Meanwhile, Chris Brown’s camp is claiming these reports as BS, and he was simply keeping the 2 men from trespassing onto his tour bus. The victim says he will be pressing charges, and has already hired a lawyer. Brown is still on probation in the Rihanna case and could see prison time if convicted because this will violate his probation.t. We will just have to wait and see where this case goes next, and hopefully, doesn’t set his career back once again.
