Morris L. Chestnut is very recognizable because he has been appearing in films since 1991 when he appeared as Ricky Baker in Boyz n the Hood. After doing various TV movies, Chestnut career steadily rose with co-starring roles in standard studio films such as Under Siege 2 and G.I. Jane. His major break into the main stream was with his role as a professional football player on the eve of his wedding in The Best Man. For his performance Chestnut earned an NAACP Image Award nomination. Most recently, Chestnut revived his previous role with the follow up film The Best Man Holiday, which once again received great acclaim and numbers in the box office. Born and raised in California, Morris Chestnut claims that the Philadelphia Eagles are among his favorite sports teams. And ladies, you may not have to wait to long to see him on the big screen, because rumors are swirling about another Best Man film maybe in the works.
The highly anticipated movie, starring Forest Whitake, may have a title change. According to Eurweb a Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) title registration bureau arbitration ruled Tuesday that The Weinstein Co. could not use the title “The Butler” on its upcoming film. The title was first used in a 1916 short film that now belongs to the Warner Bros. library. The Weinstein Co. feels there should be no problem because the short film hasn't been "shown in theaters, television, DVDs, or in any other way for almost a century and it makes no sense." I'd hate to see the title change since this movie has been advertising heavily.
