Tried to tell y'all that this was coming for the last few weeks!! Last night, the stars were out in full force at the Met Gala. Kanye West put on a memorable performance for party goers. He debuted a number of new songs from his next solo album which is speculated to drop June 18th. The song that many people keep talking about is called "I Am A God". This backs up reports from months ago that said his album would be called this. There are snippets of the performance floating around the internet, but no official audio yet.

In a recent study done by Facebook, they gathered statistics from students all over the country to see what music they listened to. Their findings show that Lil' Wayne fans had the lowest average SAT score of any artist. The average was around 876, which is out of a possible 2400. The study showed that the smartest students with an average score of 1376 listened to classical music.These same students were also fond of artists like Eminem and Jay-Z. What do you think??

After two weeks to pay up, Lauryn Hill was giving 3 months in prison and 3 months of home confinement in NJ court today for federal tax charges. No sentence date yet, but her attorney says she has paid $970k. Last year, Hill plead guilty for owing $1.8 million between the years of 2005-2007. Here’s what she said shortly before today’s sentencing.

Usher has landed a major role in the film "Hands of Stone", which centers around the life of Roberto Duran, the boxer who beat Sugar Ray Leonard in an epic 1980 matchup for the WBC welterweight title.  Duran would eventually be defeated by Leonard in a rematch months later.  Also appearing in the film will be Robert De Niro, who'll play Duran's trainer, Ray Arcel.  The movie is set to begin filming in Panama in October.

Mayweather is still undefeated with #44 wins, earning at least $32 million for his night's work. After the fight Floyd said's "I take my hat off to Robert Guerrero. He's a true warrior." Mayweather landed 195 punches, & 113 for Guerrero.

It looks like Kanye isn't the only hip hop heavyweight that is slated to drop in the next few months. I already told you about the rumored July 4th release date for his next album. Now there are rumors that he is planning a crazy world tour for this year too. Word is that he will be bringing Tyler, The Creator and Kendrick Lamar on the road with him. With those three on the same bill, this could be one of the more interesting tours of the last decade.
