Drake Ends Relationship With Cannabis Company

A lot of celebs have invested and created companies in the cannabis industry. Drake even hopped on board. He partnered with a company, Canopy Growth Corp. However, after working together for a little more than a year, the company is ending their partnership with Drake, according to Bloomberg. The company decided to terminate the partnership with Drake's More Life Growth Co to sell the legal weed in Canada and the global market. Jennifer White, director of communications for Canopy Growth said, "We have indeed divested from More Life and the facility in Scarborough which had been intended to be part of that agreement is now Canopy Growth’s R&D facility, where we will work on plant science and science development projects." The company said they took $8.6 million impairment charge fiscal 2021 and considering how many people lost jobs during the pandemic, people probably weren't buying as much weed. It almost sounds like they cut Drake completely out of the deal for the facility. But we are sure Drake will bounce back from this.
