Netflix Buys Kanye West's Documentary for $30 Million

If you wanted to learn more of Kanye West, you will get a chance to learn about 21 years worth of the rapper's life. The New York Post reports Netflix pulled out the wallet for this one. The streaming network paid $30 million for the documentary about Kanye. That price tag was reported by Billboard, but another source said that price was inaccurate. So how do you get about 20 years worth of a documentary? Well the project is being done by Clarence "Coodie" Simmons and Chike Ozah, who worked with Kanye early in his career and did two of Kanye's music videos. This docuseries will feature never-before-seen footage as well as home videos of Kanye. The documentary will even cover things from his mom's death, to his marriage and even his failed presidential run. We're not sure if it will include his pending divorce from Kim Kardashian West. This will be pretty interesting to watch and while we don't have a name for the docuseries, it is expected to be released this year.
