An L.A. Street Will be Named After Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant would have celebrated his birthday on Sunday, however, people are still honoring the legendary basketball star after his passing back in January. The L.A. Lakers definitely honored Kobe with their a special tribute jersey. But Orange County has even declared 8/24 as Kobe Bryant Day, having lived there with his family for years. And for a players who has spent 20 years playing for L.A., the city is still paying tribute to the Black Mamba. According to TMZ, Herb J. Wesson Jr., president of the L.A. City Council, said plans are in the works to name a street after Kobe.Wesson said, "Figueroa St. will soon be Kobe Bryant Blvd. between Olympic & MLK." Yes, the street will be around the Staples Center where Kobe played for his beloved team. Kobe Bryant Blvd. will essentially stretch from the L.A. Coliseum through USC and go just past Staples Center. Now that's a beautiful way to honor Kobe.
