Universal Will Release Movies in Theater to Online Services

While people are home for 2 weeks, they can still keep busy. Of course some schools have given students work packets or work online, there is still a lot of downtime. How are you keeping yourself occupied. Well thanks to Universal, they are helping out. Of course we got word that a lot of theaters are closed, including Regal theaters who announced they will be closing amid the COVID-19, thanks to Universal, some movies that have been released in theaters will now be available online at the same time, according to CNBC. Typically, movie studios wait 90 days for a film to run in theaters before home viewing, but these studios also understand what's really going on. Universal’s "Trolls World Tour" will be the first movie it will simultaneously debut online and in theaters on April 10. Other films that are currently in theaters, like "The Invisible Man," "The Hunt" and "Emma" will be available for a 48-hour rental as soon as Friday with the suggested price of $19.99. It was even announced that other streaming services have done the same, for instance, Disney + has already added "Frozen 2" as an early release on the streaming app.
